Job Overview

There’s an exciting new role opening up in the Commercial team here at Broadband Genie. The aim of this role is to proactively contribute to the stability and growth of the commercial operation on Broadband Genie whilst delivering an excellent service to the broadband providers and partners we work with and our website’s customers.

This is a full time role being a part of the commercial team within Broadband Genie. Duties include managing a selection of our providers and partners, securing stronger commercials with providers, and securing market leading deals for our customers and partners. All while contributing to ensure Broadband Genie are well positioned to achieve ours and our clients’ objectives, with the potential opportunity to become the face of Broadband Genie with providers, partners and even the media.

You will be a highly organised individual, motivated by hitting targets and capable of devising, implementing and seeing through key processes while undertaking professional communications with all stakeholders. At Broadband Genie we strive for operational excellence and you will play a fundamental role in providing this.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role will be to offer Genie magic service to our clients and deliver continued commercial growth to help Broadband Genie reach the next level.

Regular duties will include, but not be limited to:

Playing a key role in and delivering the commercial strategy to achieve targets

  • Contributing to Broadband Genie’s commercial proposition including what we sell and pricing
  • Providing key input and feedback into setting commercial targets

Being a face of Broadband Genie

  • A key point of contact for providers, partners, and potentially the media
  • Representing us as the broadband experts that we are

Working alongside the Head of Commercial to manage day-to-day relationships with leading providers including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring product information is correct and offers up to date
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with providers
  • Responsibility for hitting targets through any mixture of levers, leading with CPA but also through tenancy, bonuses or other
  • Forming well thought out and clear commercial proposals to providers alongside forecasts using our internal tools which make this clearer
  • Responsibility for securing market leading exclusives for our customers
  • Work with marketing and product heads to ensure clients are put in appropriate positions onsite to achieve their objectives and drive growth
  • Performance analysis and recommendations including insights into overall market including their competitors using our clear click share, switches share and conversion rate data to help convey your recommendations
  • Sharing Broadband Genie updates and results of our strategy to leading providers
  • Engaging providers on additional opportunities to help us achieve our objectives, including but not limited to telesales, upgrades, regrades, TV and mobile
  • Lead on performance sections of regular meetings with clients including quarterly reviews and calls and relay key action points internally
  • Maintaining and staying on top of to do lists with leading providers
  • Working alongside Head of Commercial to bring new broadband providers onsite at commercials which are aligned with our targets
  • Using insights gained from providers to put forward product suggestions to help us and them achieve their objectives while ensuring the value is clearly highlighted internally to ensure its priority
  • Work alongside Product team on delivery as a key stakeholder
  • Strong understanding of our existing contracts and moving towards providing recommendations on how to improve them

Partner management:

  • Work with the Head of Commercial managing our partners including but not limited to, improving their performance, product and communicating offers and payments due

Customer services:

  • Provide senior support to the customer service team
  • Ensure we communicate effectively with broadband providers regarding queries

Performance reporting

  • Responsible for communication of commercial performance to all key clients
  • Lead on performance reporting on all bi-weekly and quarterly reporting and presentations
  • Play a key role in team meetings communicating commercial updates and performance vs targets

Finance

  • Work alongside the Head of Commercial on the delivery of key projects such as the annual reconciliation
  • Liaise with clients on any major financial issues, e.g. delay of payment or payment status changing and update Awin payment status reports
  • Play an active role in P&L and budget work for all clients' numbers

Team Player

  • Ensure team resources are keeping up to date with offer changes including all USPs of product information and the addition of new products (e.g. Full Fibre)
  • Play an active role in learning about the online industry and sharing learnings with the team
  • Form a best-in-class handover process for your broadband providers when relevant
  • Clear communication and prioritisation skills with the team, delegating tasks if required or helping where time allows

Experience & Skills

Experience

  • Integrated into the affiliate industry with a demonstrable passion for it
  • B2B partnerships experience - preferably in the affiliate space but if relevant other experience please do apply, it’s not a deal breaker
  • Previous experience in the affiliate industry within the telecoms sector (Desirable)
  • An understanding of the affiliate industry and price comparison (Desirable)
  • Experience identifying new opportunities (Desirable)
  • Effective at follow-up communications (Desirable)
  • Face-to-face experience in managing senior stakeholders (Desirable)

Skills

  • Highly adept at influencing and relationship building with partners and colleagues
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to analyse data to come up with suitable recommendations to help clients and the business
  • Exceptional networker, ability to manage stakeholders at all levels and able to make connections across a partner’s organisation
  • Able to be creative and think outside the box, come up with original ideas to promote our brand and our value proposition 
  • Willing and able to travel to providers or partners across the UK
  • Good problem solver, collaborative, and creative - able to identify ways to bring the wider team and partnerships together within resources to achieve objectives
