About The Role

We are currently looking for Cost Estimator who will be responsible for providing specialist support in the planning, design, and documentation of track maintenance workshops for proposed project components identified during the study. The position is responsible for preparing workshop/depot/shed design outputs, detailed drawings, technical specifications, BOQ items, quantity estimates, and rate analysis related to manufacturing and maintenance facilities in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, design reports, specifications, site data, and project scope to identify BOQ items and quantity requirements for proposed components.
  • Prepare detailed BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost estimates based on materials, labor, equipment, methodology, productivity, and market rates.
  • Coordinate with relevant technical experts to verify quantities, cost assumptions, item descriptions, and construction requirements.
  • Prepare cost estimates in the format and level of detail required for World Bank-financed projects and programs.
  • Update and refine cost estimates based on review comments, design changes, market updates, and World Bank requirements.

About You

  • Graduation in Civil Engineering/ equivalent relevant subject.
  • 12 years total professional experience, preferably 10 years’ experience in Transport field.
  • 08 years’ experience in similar type feasibility study and design consultancy, including preferably 5 years’ experience in similar post for similar type consultancy.
