DescriptionAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and procurement aspects of our projects, working closely with the DPG_Tendering & Prequalification department. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects are delivered within budget and meet the high standards of Dubai Properties Group LLC. Responsibilities- Execute procurement and commercial strategies for allocated projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and review tender documents, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
- Evaluate and analyze tender submissions, conducting thorough due diligence on potential suppliers and contractors.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders, aiming for the best possible terms and conditions.
- Monitor and manage project costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all commercial and procurement activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams, offering guidance on best practices and potential risks.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and design, to ensure seamless integration of commercial and procurement activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to enhance procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and commercial practices, including tendering processes and contract law.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for cost estimation, tender evaluation, and contract management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
