About the Role:
NEOC People is recruiting an Estimator – Quantity Surveyor for a company providing specialized services in construction and related industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and proactive individual to contribute to accurate cost estimation, project management, and client relations. The position is office-based with a focus on tendering, estimation, and quantity surveying for diverse projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Accurately estimate projects of varying scales, preparing comprehensive tender documents, including health and safety requirements where applicable.

  • Handle client queries and questionnaires related to tender documents, drawings, or bills of quantities (BOQ).

  • Maintain professional and friendly verbal communication with clients and ensure written correspondence is correctly laid out in business English.

  • Prepare standardized enquiry quotations, BOQs, and tender documents.

  • Follow up on client queries, progress of projects, and resubmit documentation as necessary.

  • Collaborate with the Contracts Department and Contracts Manager to ensure alignment on project quantities and design drawings.

  • Liaise with the Costing Department for project cost evaluations, when required.

  • Work closely with the Drawing Department to ensure client designs are consistent with the original quotation, noting additional work if needed.

  • Prepare technical reports to accompany quotations or enquiries, ensuring correctness and timeliness.

  • Conduct quantity surveying tasks as needed, including final account preparation.

  • Follow up on maintenance test enquiries and other leads to secure additional business.

  • Promote the company positively and professionally in all interactions.

  • Perform any additional tasks required to ensure the smooth execution of estimating duties and the effective operation of the business.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Qualifications:


    • Relevant degree or certification in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, or a related field.


  • Skills & Experience:


    • Experience in project estimation, quantity surveying, and preparing tender documents.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to work with various departments, including costing, design, and contracts.

    • Competence in preparing technical reports and handling client relations.
