Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Wanaka

Are you an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a solid understanding of residential construction? A nationally recognized residential building company is looking for a talented professional to join their team in Wanaka.

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator/QS to support our residential projects in Wanaka. You’ll play a key role in estimating, cost planning, procurement, and contract administration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Manage budgets and monitor project costs
• Conduct material take-offs and liaise with suppliers
• Assess subcontractor quotes and negotiate contracts
• Provide financial reporting and progress claims
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure cost efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in residential construction estimating or quantity surveying
• Strong understanding of NZ building codes and industry standards
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Full NZ Working Rights
