DescriptionJob Purpose
The Executive – Projects is responsible for managing quantity surveying activities and ensuring quality control standards across all retail fit-out, renovation, maintenance, and construction projects. The role supports project planning, cost estimation, vendor management, site inspections, and quality assurance to ensure projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for retail projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements to determine material and labor costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and track budgets against approved estimates.
- Verify contractor quotations, invoices, and payment applications.
- Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional work requests.
- Assist in tendering, bid evaluation, and contractor selection processes.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and procurement activities.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
- Monitor workmanship quality and material compliance throughout project execution.
- Identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve material samples, mock-ups, and finishes before installation.
- Prepare quality inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve quality-related concerns.
Project Coordination
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, store operations teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management.
- Assist in project handover, snagging, and defect liability management.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining cost and quality objectives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of cost estimates and BOQs.
- Budget adherence and cost control effectiveness.
- Reduction in project defects and rework.
- Quality compliance across all project sites.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Quantity Surveying, Quality Management, or Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, project execution, quality control, or construction management.
- Experience in retail fit-out, commercial interiors, or multi-site project environments preferred.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, BOQs, estimation, and quality assurance processes.
