Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with an established construction company?
Our client is a well-established construction company and they are looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual with solid construction experience to take responsibility for the financial and commercial management of projects, from procurement and cost control through to final accounts.
Requirements:
- 4 – 7 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Experience within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor
- Experience in building construction, with exposure to residential, commercial, industrial, warehousing and/or refurbishment projects
- Proficiency in relevant QS software and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost reports and forecasts
- Manage valuations, payment certificates, variations and claims
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier packages
- Assist with procurement and subcontractor negotiations
