Junior Contract Manager / Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Junior Contract Manager or Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. As Junior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing various financial aspects related to our construction projects, from the start on site to the final figures. Your expertise will be crucial in helping our company achieve cost efficiency and ensure that our projects are completed within budget.

Core responsibilities:

Claims management: Evaluating the cost of unplanned work or changes in project scope and preparing claims/variation orders for such changes.
Contract management: Preparation of contract documents, including quantity quotes with the
Progress reporting and billing: Responsible for preparing monthly progress reports, interim payment certificates and client billing, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Payment management: Assign work to subcontractors and handle payments to subcontractors, ensuring that all work is of high quality.

Cost management: Preparation of cost analyses based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved.
Value engineering: Working to minimise project costs and improve value for money while achieving required standards and quality.
Risk management: Perform risk management and cost control during the
Reporting: Advise on contractual claims and prepare regular progress reports for project managers and clients.

You will work within the Contracts Team and report to our Contract Manager. The position requires partial presence at the office in Puurs and partial presence on site

Profile
You have a Master's degree with an interest in the operational and economic side of the construction sector.
You have strong analytical skills and can easily handle and communicate the results of your analyses.
You enjoy liaising with clients and internal stakeholders and collaborating with others.

You speak fluent Dutch and English (French is a plus)
A first work experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
You are willing to travel to the sites.
