DescriptionHire Resolve is inviting applications for the role of Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in beautiful Cape Town. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project teams to assist in the management of costs and budgets for a variety of construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of quantity surveying.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
- Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs
- Support in managing and reviewing project contracts and specifications
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
- Monitor project progress and provide timely updates on cost variances and risks
- Compile project documentation, including proposals and variance reports
- Participate in meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress and financial status
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying
- Preferably coming from a Quantity Surveying Firm
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools, such as WinQS and CCS
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
