Role Purpose and Summary

    • Manage cost estimation, contract administration, and quantity surveying activities for projects in bidding, mobilization, and execution stages, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and adherence to contractual terms while working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders

Experience

    • 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in project management in infrastructure-related projects across various industries with a minimum of 2 years in managerial capacity; Exposure in India is desirable; Experience in engineering design and knowledge of a wide array of conventional and/or renewable technology is preferred

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical and/or civil); Master’s degree is a plus 

Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities

    • Cost Estimation and Budgeting 
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQs), and pricing models for projects in bidding and execution stages, ensuring alignment with project specifications and market benchmarks 
    • Provide input on cost assumptions for technical and commercial proposals, ensuring feasibility and competitiveness 
    • Analyze and validate contractors' pricing submissions and ensure accuracy in financial forecasting 

    • Contract Administration 
    • Draft, review, and administer contracts with EPC contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and conditions 
    • Support negotiation of contractual terms with contractors and vendors, addressing variations, claims, and disputes effectively 
    • Monitor contract deliverables and ensure timely approvals of payments and certifications 

    • Cost Monitoring and Reporting 
    • Track project costs and expenditures, comparing them against the approved budget and flagging any variances or potential overruns 
    • Maintain a comprehensive cost database, ensuring the availability of reliable data for future bids and transactions 
    • Prepare periodic financial and cost reports for project teams and senior management, highlighting cost-saving opportunities 

    • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Identify potential cost risks in projects and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks 
    • Ensure all cost management activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies 
    • Support audits and reviews related to cost and contract management, providing accurate and well-documented information 

    • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management 
    • Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of cost and technical objectives 
    • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve disputes and maintain smooth project execution 
    • Contribute to the development of cost control tools and processes to enhance project delivery efficiency
