Pr. Quantity Surveyor

A client of ours within the Civil Engineering sector is looking for a Professional Registered Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Location: 
Nelspruits- Mpumalanga 

Requirements: 

• Professional Registered non negotiable
• Quantity Surveyor qualification 
• Consulting experience/background highly essential
• Minimum 3 years of experience

Responsibilities: 

• Managing the costs and contracts of construction projects
• Ensuring that costs remain within budget and meet quality standards
• Responsible for cost planning, risk analysis, financial reporting, and managing procurement
• Advise on various financial and contractual matters, from project inception to completion
  
  

  1. Financial Reporting:

     Preparing and analyzing financial reports, tracking project cash flow, and managing accounts
     

     
     Contract Management:
     Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including tender documents and bills of quantities. 

      
  2. Risk Analysis and Mitigation:

     Identifying potential commercial risks and developing strategies to minimize their impact on project costs and timelines

      
  3. Procurement:

     Advising on procurement strategies, selecting materials and subcontractors, and managing contracts

      
  4. Valuation and Payment:

     Measuring and valuing work in progress, ensuring accurate and timely payments to subcontractors, and managing variations

      
  5. Dispute Resolution:

     Acting as a neutral party in resolving disputes between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

      
  6. Project Monitoring and Reporting:

     Tracking project progress, analyzing outcomes, and providing budget/progress reports to clients

      
  7. Feasibility Studies:

     Conducting feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects

      
  8. Client Liaison:
     Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, provide advice on cost-effective solutions, and manage their expectations
