Pr. Quantity Surveyor - JHB

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established firm in Johannesburg. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage the financial aspects of various construction projects, ensuring that all budgetary and cost-related objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for building projects.
• Manage project budgets from inception through to completion, ensuring that all costs are controlled.
• Conduct feasibility studies to ascertain potential project costs.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Assist in negotiation and awarding of contracts to subcontractors.
• Monitor ongoing project costs and advise on changes and potential cost implications.
• Provide regular reports to stakeholders on project financial status.
• Identify risks and provide solutions to mitigate cost overruns.
• Oversee the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project procurement processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Professional registration with SACQSP.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, GCC).
• Proficiency in WinQS and other relevant software.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
