A well-established multidisciplinary consulting firm with a strong footprint in infrastructure and built environment projects across South Africa, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based full-time at a client’s office in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
Responsibilities
- Manage all quantity surveying and cost management functions on large-scale projects
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender documentation, and financial reports
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with GCC and JBCC contract requirements
- Conduct valuations, payment certifications, and final account negotiations
- Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Assist in procurement processes and contract administration activities
- Travel to project sites when required
Requirements
- Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a consulting environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-PrQS registration experience
- Relevant university degree in Quantity Surveying
- Proven experience working on large-scale projects
- Experience in water and sewer infrastructure projects advantageous
- Strong knowledge of GCC and JBCC contracts
- Own reliable vehicle and willingness to travel
- Must be based full-time at the client’s office in Rivonia, Johannesburg
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
