Hire Resolve is currently in search of a highly skilled Professional Quantity Surveyor to join our client's reputable team in Cape Town. This role presents an excellent opportunity for talented individuals experienced in Facility Management to advance their careers in a dynamic and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct detailed cost estimating and analysis for construction projects.
- Prepare tender documentation and participate in the bidding process.
- Evaluate contracts and manage negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Provide cost-related advising on various projects to ensure client satisfaction.
- Monitor project expenses and prepares regular financial reports.
- Conduct site visits to oversee progress and compliance with cost estimates.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve cost issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the construction industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or other building related qualification
- Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
- 6-10 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Minimum 2 years experience in Facilities Management
- Proven track record of managing budgets for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to carry out thorough financial assessments and provide accurate reporting.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to professional growth and development.
Benefits
Salary: R40,000 - R50,000 p/m Negotiable dependent on experience
