Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a highly skilled Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town, WC. In this role you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will also work closely with project managers to ensure that the project is completed within budget and on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Conduct cost analysis and recommend value engineering options
  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with cost and budget requirements
  • Monitor and track project progress and costs
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to project managers
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to negotiate and resolve any cost issues
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • RICS membership preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Proficient in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a PrQS office is a must
  • Knowledge of construction regulations and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
