Description

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the construction industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that all financial aspects are meticulously handled from the pre-construction phase through to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and value management exercises.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documents.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in resolving contractual disputes and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and pricing systems.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. WinQS, Dim X, CCS) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
