Key Responsibilities:

1. Quantity Calculations & BoQ Analysis:

  •  Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software to calculate quantities for the project.
  •  Prepare and maintain Room-books and other quantity tracking documents.
  •  Compare the BoQs received from contractors and provide structured updates.
  •  Work closely with the design team to incorporate quantity changes based on project updates.

2. Tender & Bidding Support:

  •  Assist the Senior Manager in the bidding process, ensuring accurate quantity documentation.
  •  Review and compare BoQs from multiple contractors to ensure consistency and correctness.
  •  Provide necessary data and documentation to facilitate the tender evaluation phase.

3. Coordination with the Design & Site Teams:

  •  Maintain communication with the design team to stay updated on project modifications.
  •  Support the site team in evaluating subcontractors, focusing on their scope of work and quantities.
  •  Assist the site team when subcontractors submit progress reports, ensuring that reported work aligns with actual site progress.

4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

  •  Prepare progress tracking schemes to help monitor the project’s construction phase.
  •  Periodically report quantities and progress updates to senior management.
  •  Ensure the progress reports from subcontractors align with the approved BoQs.


Requirements


Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  •  8+ years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role.
  •  Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Excel (strong Excel skills are a must).
  •  Experience in BoQ comparison and subcontractor scope review.
  •  Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and project documentation.
  •  Excellent organizational and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, or large-scale engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with tender processes, subcontractor evaluation, and project documentation.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
