Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary consulting firm, is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in the Quantity Surveying, Architecture, and Engineering departments, contributing to diverse and challenging projects across the built environment.

Our client in the Engineering Consulting industry is looking for a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Western Cape, Cape Town North area.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying
• Professional Registration (PrQS) - (No Candidate QS will be considered)
• 6–10 years’ relevant experience
• Proficiency in WinQS, DimensionX, MS Word, and MS Excel
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate design documentation
• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates
• Compile bills of quantities and contract documentation
• Conduct financial evaluations of tenders
• Manage project cost control, including cashflow forecasts, cost reports, valuations, variation orders, and contractual claims
• Negotiate and prepare final accounts
• Attend and contribute to site and project meetings
• Conduct viability studies, damage costings, and determine value at risk
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other quantity surveyors
