Quantity Surveyor
Bloemfontein, Free State

The opportunity that awaits you:
A well-established construction company with expertise in the rehabilitation of old roads and the construction of new roads is seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Liaising with clients to identify their needs.
- Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour.
- Preparing tender and contract documents.
- Identifying and weighing up commercial risks work to subcontractors.
- Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
- Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.
- Submitting regular budget reports.
- Following health and safety regulations.
- Working at a client’s business, in an office or on a construction site.
Our required expertise:
- Relevant Quantity Surveyor or Engineering qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field
- Experience on SANRAL and Provincial Dept of Roadworks contract will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of the CSS suite of programmes is essential among other computer operating systems
- Tendering exposure/involvement would be advantageous
- Strong communication
- Valid driver’s license
