The opportunity that awaits you:

A well-established construction company with expertise in the rehabilitation of old roads and the construction of new roads is seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team

 Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Liaising with clients to identify their needs.


• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour.


• Preparing tender and contract documents.


• Identifying and weighing up commercial risks work to subcontractors.


• Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.


• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.


• Submitting regular budget reports.


• Following health and safety regulations.


• Working at a client’s business, in an office or on a construction site.

Our required expertise:

• Relevant Quantity Surveyor or Engineering qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor)


• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field


• Experience on SANRAL and Provincial Dept of Roadworks contract will be advantageous


• Strong understanding of the CSS suite of programmes is essential among other computer operating systems


• Tendering exposure/involvement would be advantageous


• Strong communication


• Valid driver’s license
