We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the built environment and will be responsible for managing costs and budgeting for construction projects.
Responsibilities:- Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Evaluating and analyzing tenders and contract documents
- Managing and negotiating with contractors and suppliers
- Conducting site visits and providing cost reports
- Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
- Managing variations and claims
- Providing advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the built environment
- Professional registration with relevant industry bodies
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
