Description

Hire Resolve is currently on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction company in Cape Town. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered within budget and on time.

Your insights and expertise will guide project teams in cost-effective decision-making and ensure that clients receive the best value for their investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Conduct risk analysis and nutritional studies to mitigate financial uncertainties.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to develop detailed project budgets.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, identifying any discrepancies from the initial budget.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and manage contractual agreements.
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Manage payments to contractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation for management review.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and validate costs.


Requirements
  • 8 years post graduation in a PRQS firm
  • SACQSP registration is a requirement
