Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the mining industry in Kriel, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate must have expertise in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects within the mining sector.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for EC&I projects in the mining industry.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project costs and budget throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Review and approve invoices and payment applications.
- Provide advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project budgets are maintained.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the mining industry.
- Strong understanding of EC&I systems and projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
