The Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor (BIM 5D) to support BIM-based quantity take-off (QTO) and cost integration activities for major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in linking model data with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across project delivery.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of 5D BIM processes, construction measurement standards, and structured cost control frameworks for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform BIM-based Quantity Take-Off (QTO) at multiple project stages including IFC, Shop Drawings, and As-Built.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops to define information requirements and establish Model Content Requirements (MCR) for 5D BIM QTO.
• Review and align data between 3D BIM Models, WBS, and CBS to ensure integration and data consistency.
• Execute structured quality validation checks on BIM models to verify compliance with MCR and maintain data integrity.
• Provide guidance on BIM QTO software and applications (Autodesk, Cubicost, CostX, or equivalent) to ensure accurate measurements and CBS schedule generation.
• Support preparation of cost estimates, cost plans, and interim/final accounts in accordance with international measurement standards (NRM, POMI, or equivalent).
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and BIM teams to ensure readiness and accuracy of cost data for downstream processes.
• Prepare and present reports, cost analyses, and recommendations to project stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in BIM 5D QTO workflows and familiarity with model-based measurement formats (.rvt / .ifc).
• Proficiency in BIM/QTO tools such as Autodesk QTO, Cubicost TAS & TRB, CostX, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction measurement standards (NRM, POMI, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with digital cost management tools and data validation scripts for BIM models.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a drive for process improvement.
