Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in Southeast Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager will be responsible for the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs), engineering cost estimates, and the planning, control, and monitoring of construction project costs and budgets. The role requires strong technical expertise in cost management, market based pricing, and financial control to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with contractual and market requirements.
Key responsibilities:
· Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and detailed engineering cost estimates based on current market rates.
· Develop, manage, and control project budgets and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
· Monitor construction costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
· Support procurement processes, including bid evaluations, variations, and cost negotiations.
· Provide cost advice, forecasts, and reporting to project teams and key stakeholders.
· Ensure cost management practices comply with contractual frameworks, including FIDIC based contracts where applicable.
