Quantity Surveyor
1. Education & Professional Certification
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. (Candidates with an M&E background are often preferred due to the high MEP value in data centers).
- Professional Accreditation: Membership in RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), AIQS, or equivalent professional bodies is highly desirable.
- Local Licensing: Valid professional certification (e.g., SKK Konstruksi for QS) as required by local regulations.
2. Technical Experience
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with a proven track record in Mission Critical projects (Data Centers, Cleanrooms, or High-Tech Industrial plants).
- MEP Literacy: Strong understanding of the cost components for HV/MV Electrical Systems, UPS units, CRAC/CRAH units, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Uptime Standards: Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Standards (I-IV) and how redundancy requirements impact the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
