Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs
- Create and maintain comprehensive project cost controls and budgets
- Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with vendors and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and cost variances, and identify areas of concern or potential savings
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
- Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes
