Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: North-East (Site-Based)

Purpose Of The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water division and support the delivery of multiple projects on the Northumbrian Water Framework. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you’ll contribute to the commercial success of our Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and combined schemes while being supported to grow and develop your career.

Key Accountabilities:

Preparation of Cost and Value Reports (CVRs), Earned Value forecasts and Cost Profiles.

Manage contract control, profitability, and cash flow across multiple projects.

Prepare and manage Applications for Payment, ensuring timely certification and receipt.

Evaluate and manage Early Warnings and Compensation Events via Contract Change Management system.

Support subcontract management from procurement through final account settlement.

Participate in commercial meetings and reporting, including P&L reviews and risk/opportunity management.

Work closely with operational teams to assess budget performance and drive profit improvement plans.

Support contract close-out including final accounts and certification processes.

Uphold compliance with NEC contracts, group policies and legislative requirements.

About You:

Degree-qualified or experienced in a Commercial/Quantity Surveying environment.

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.

Demonstrated experience in CVRs, forecasting, change control, and subcontractor management.

Commercially astute with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Water industry experience is highly desirable.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Conscientious, enthusiastic, and driven with excellent time management.
