Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager (Consultancy)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in both the commercial and delivery sides of construction.

This is a unique split role where you'll spend approximately 60% of your time focused on Quantity Surveying and 40% supporting Project Management and project delivery.

Working across a range of commercial construction projects, you'll be involved from project inception through to completion, giving you valuable exposure beyond a typical QS position.

About the Role
This position would suit a motivated professional with 3-6 years' experience who is looking to broaden their career and develop their project management capability while continuing to strengthen their commercial expertise.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Cost planning, estimating and budgeting
• Procurement and subcontractor management
• Variations, progress claims and financial reporting
• Contract administration
• Assisting with project planning and programme management
• Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders
• Monitoring project delivery, quality and project outcomes
• Supporting the successful delivery of multiple construction projects

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the New Zealand construction sector
• Experience working on commercial construction projects
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
• An interest in developing Project Management skills and responsibilities
• Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
