Doka Malaysia is currently looking to recruit a career driven professional to join its versatile team and support the company’s ongoing national expansion. The suitable candidate will be a qualified, natural team player who can add significant value to this highly dynamic team.

Job Description

Business development

  • Proactively generate business opportunities by making a minimum of 50 sales calls and submitting at least 4 quotations per month.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and projects, with a focus on sectors such as plywood, shoring, formwork, scaffolding, and related components, across residential and industrial markets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to perform technical assessments and collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure accurate project costing and proposals.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive quotations tailored to project requirements.
  • To support in contract negotiation, ensuring both technical and commercial terms are aligned and feasible.
  • Coordinate with procurement and technical departments to validate material take-offs and confirm project scope.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection in accordance with agreed payment terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities, client communications, and project progress using CRM systems or other relevant tools.
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in a Sales Engineer or QS role in the construction or building materials industry is an added advantage.
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and consistent in sales follow-up and execution.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong sales fundamentals and skills: listening, probing, negotiation, close.
  • Solution oriented with divergent thinker
  • Ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships particularly with clients
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people at different levels in the organization
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in Mandarin language is a must.

Skills

  • Proficiency in cold calling and lead generation.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering is a plus.
