The project\: 

This opportunity is to be involved in a Major mixed-use development, in Riyadh. The programme consists of over 200 projects including Cultural and heritage assets, F&B, Retail and Hotels, commercial buildings, and educational facilities. 

Mace are currently providing the Programme Management Office overseeing this development and are looking for high-calibre experienced people.

Client focus - Deliver on our promise:

  • Working with a number of Project Management Consultancies and Client commercial teams to ensure consistency of cost and commercial management and reporting across numerous projects within the programme.
  • Providing oversight and governance responsibilities of cost and commercial management include cost planning and benchmarking, cost reporting, cashflow reporting, procurement and contract reporting, claims reporting.
  • Developing and improving project cost and commercial databases to accurately track and control commercial statues.
  • Working with PMC and Client teams to review and align Project Budgets with benchmarks.
  • Working with PMIS developers to create dashboards and reports in PowerBI.
  • Tracking and controlling project accruals and commitments against Budgets.
  • Building project forecasts to include for estimated work to complete (ETC) and the development of the estimate at completion (EAC).
  • Tracking project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project.
  • Tracking project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures.
  • Tracking key project trends which can inform future change management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including AACE and RICS guidelines.

You’ll need to have:

  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent). 
  • Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Developed commercial and financial acumen. 
  • Advanced experience of working with large cost data sets. 
  • Knowledge of value engineering, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. 
  • Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.  
  • Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders. 
  • A demonstrable structured approach to quality assurance and quality control of work output. 

You’ll also have:

  • Strong experience in mixed use developments, including hospitality, residential and cultural projects.
  • Excellent data management skills including Microsoft Excel, use of advance formulas, pivot tables. Experience in PowerPivot, PowerQuery and DAX is sought after.
  • Experience of working within a PMO office is desirable.
  • In-country experience is highly sought after due to client requirements
  • Ability to engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders, including contractors, PMCs, and Client teams.
