Job Description

Example Duties:

  • Accountable for a variety of complex deliverables throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects, generally within an end market sector.
  • Responsible for both cost and contracts teams on a project.
  • Manages / administers tenders. 
  • Manages the resources across a portfolio of projects, all within the established budgets
  • Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood
  • Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports
  • Responsible timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms
  • Responsible for ensuring that any additional work/changes in scope are approved by clients
  • Ensures all deliverables comply with the PDS.
  • Reviews and responds to contractors claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensure the Clients interests are protected
  • Provides direct liaison with the Client project team.
  • Reviews the contracts and commercial reports
  • Represents the clients/AECOM in dispute resolutions/arbitration procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Good working knowledge of FIDIC suite of contracts.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
  • Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a co-location/secondment arrangement would be of benefit
  • A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning
  • Prior line-management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
