Summary

This role you will work closely with the Commercial Director to manage the regional commercial team, being responsible for the Financial and Commercial performance of a business Region or strategic Project. You will provide commercial advice and expertise to other regional functions and areas of the business, supporting the Commercial Director in preparing regional management accounts and contributing to Contract reviews.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Build and maintain high level mutually beneficial customer, key supplier and vendor relationships. Promote the business and actively seek out new opportunities.
  • Carry out negotiations as required to improve our Commercial and Financial position.
  • Attend and chair Contract reviews be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the regions costs and values forecasting. Work with the Commercial Director to prepare and update business plans and local management accounts.
  • Manage the Commercial aspects of all business development/focus win activities in line with the Company procedures, evaluating risks and opportunities during the work winning process stage. Ensure NG Bailey’s position is not compromised in any tender submissions put forward.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy and rationality of all project level Risk and Opportunity Schedules. Be responsible for the implementation of identified mitigation and enhancement and the accuracy of commercial risk reported back to the business.
  • Ensure all necessary records are generated and maintained, in order to maximise NG Bailey's contractual entitlements and justify our position. Including using records to avoid disputes wherever possible and managing any disputes where required.
  • Manage the commercial performance of the Projects and the Project commercial staff and ensure they successfully achieve company, division, team and individual objectives.
  • Direct and advise on all matters of dispute resolution within the business area.

This is an integral role within our Commercial team and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and use their experience to start adding value from day one, after they’ve settled in and got their feet under the table.

This needs to be a proactive person with strong leadership experience who can provide advice and guidance to the team, whilst being able to be hands-on when needed.
