Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established commercial contractor known for delivering high-quality negotiated and Design & Build projects across Auckland and the Upper North Island.
Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage the commercial delivery of projects while mentoring and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from tender through to final accounts.
• Prepare cost plans, procurement, variations and forecasting.
• Negotiate with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
• Mentor and train junior and intermediate QSs.
• Work closely with Directors and Project Managers to achieve successful project outcomes.

About You

• 8+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within commercial construction.
• Strong Design & Build and negotiated contract experience.
• Proven ability to mentor or lead other QSs.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and communication skills.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying or Construction qualification.
