A reputable professional quantity surveying consultancy with a strong track record in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, is currently seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function within a professional QS consultancy environment
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
Manage procurement processes and contract administration
Evaluate contractor claims and variations
Prepare and present financial reports to clients
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and comply with contractual requirements
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
Requirements
BSc in Quantity Surveying (BScQS)
Must be professionally registered (e.g., PrQS)
8 to 10+ years’ experience within a professional QS consultancy (non-negotiable; contractor experience will not be considered)
Strong knowledge of cost management, contracts, and industry standards
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
