BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our team on a landmark civil engineering project — the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2). This role will be based at our Drax site in Wren Hall, Selby (North Yorkshire).
EGL2 is a five-year initiative (we are in year 2 of that 5-year period) that will see the construction of a 525kV, 2GW high-voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable, running from Peterhead, Scotland, to Wren Hall, Selby (North Yorkshire). Once complete, it will become the longest HVDC cable in the UK and the largest transmission project ever undertaken in the country, delivering enough renewable energy to power two million UK homes.
