What You’ll Be Doing
Running pre- and post-contract cost management duties across a variety of schools projects.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
Preparing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed cost plans – your numbers need to be rock solid.
Leading procurement and tendering, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contract administration.
Producing monthly cost reports and presenting them directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
Interfacing with project teams, contractors, and consultants at all project stages.
Who We’re Looking For This role suits a driven QS who’s got the technical ability but also the confidence and presence to work closely with high-level clients.
Must-haves:
Degree-qualified as a minimum.
QS consultancy background
Experience working property related projects
Strong commercial acumen – you know how to manage risk and drive value for clients.
Proficiency in CostX or similar cost management software.
AIQS or MRICS accreditation (highly regarded but not essential).
Someone who can juggle multiple projects, deliver to tight deadlines, and still keep a level head.
