Job Summary:


Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? GRAHAM Construction is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Interior Fit Out Division. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-end fit-out projects across the UK, with a focus on delivering exceptional results for our clients.


While we ideally seek someone with fit-out experience, we welcome applicants from a broader construction background. You'll play a pivotal role in cost management, procurement, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Project Budgeting: Establish and manage budgets, ensuring accurate cost allocation and reporting.

  • Contract Review & Procurement: Review contracts and procure subcontract packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

  • Cost Forecasting: Track and forecast project costs, providing transparent and accurate financial reports.

  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts, manage delays, and handle loss and expense claims.

  • Client & Team Liaison: Regularly communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor performance, addressing any issues swiftly.

  • Delay & Variation Management: Conduct delay analysis, manage variations, and ensure compensation mechanisms are followed.

  • Meetings & Reporting: Represent GRAHAM in progress and commercial meetings, maintaining accurate documentation.


What We're Looking For:


Essential:



  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a Senior QS role, ideally within fit-out or construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management.

  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.

  • Competence in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).


Desirable:



  • Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS/MCIOB).

  • Experience with bespoke, high-end interior fit-out projects.

  • Familiarity with both NEC and JCT contracts.
