Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: To £80k (depending on experience) + car/allowance 
Location: South West   

A leading groundworks organisation is looking for an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor/SQS.  This highly regarded organisation is continuing it's impressive growth trajectory and is seeking a new member for their commercial team.  You will have significant experience within groundworks and be keen to step up or further develop your skills and experience. 

You'll take commercial responsibility across all stages of groundwork projects through to final accounts, ensuring cost efficiency, risk management, and strong client relationships.  

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and submitting accurate valuations, variations and final accounts
• Cost control, forecasting, and budget management
• Liaising with site teams and project managers to monitor progress and costs
• Procuring subcontractors and managing their packages
• Conducting site visits to assess ongoing work and compliance
• Ensuring contractual and commercial compliance with project requirements
• Preparing monthly cost/value reconciliation and forecasting reports

About you:

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils/groundworks
• Strong knowledge of contracts and cost management
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Industry recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
