Im working alongside an excellent Utillities contractor who are looking at expanding their current team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic commercial team. This role offers a varied workload, supporting day-to-day commercial operations across multiple projects, and would be an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to further develop their careers in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects.
• Support the preparation of reports, valuations, and forecasting.
• Maintain strong working relationships with commercial teams and stakeholders.
• Assist with subcontract procurement and contract administration.
• Contribute to risk management, cost control, and project reporting.
• Provide commercial insights and support to project managers.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related experience.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (or willingness to develop this expertise).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in the construction sector is advantageous.
