Job Summary:
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial success through strategic planning, market analysis, and effective management of key accounts. Your role will be crucial in developing and maintaining strong relationships with supermarkets and clients, ensuring the timely delivery of products, and maximizing profitability for the company.


Responsibilities:


  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share, increase sales, and achieve company objectives.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Utilize insights to develop effective sales strategies.
  3. Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key supermarket clients. Act as the main point of contact for all commercial matters.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with supermarkets, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
  5. Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with the sales team to forecast sales volumes and set targets. Monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
  6. Product Management: Work closely with the product development team to ensure that products meet market demand and are competitively priced.
  7. Financial Management: Monitor and manage commercial budgets, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary constraints and profitability targets are met.
  8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the business.
  9. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial management, preferably in the FMCG industry or supplier sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, market dynamics, and business strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
