Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor - 1839167

Join a leading Construction Consultancy specialising in power and infrastructure projects on a 12-month freelance contract. The consultancy is renowned for its expertise in delivering high-profile projects, particularly within the Nuclear sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in a critical infrastructure project.

Role and Responsibilities:

·       As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the project, ensuring contractual compliance, and supporting the Project Manager in pre-contract and post-contract administration activities.

·       Actively support pre-contract let administration activities.

·       Assist the Project Manager in administering Bespoke and/or NEC3 Contracts in accordance with Contract Terms, including:

·       Management of contractual communications.

·       Financial management of the Contract.

·       Handling and management of claims.

·       Engage with the Project community to ensure smooth collaboration.

·       Attend and potentially lead meetings as required.

·       Produce Monthly Reports to provide updates on project progress.

Key Skills, Behaviours, and Experience: The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

·       Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·       Experience with SAP and CEMAR is desirable.

·       Background in civils, energy, or nuclear construction projects.

·       Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.

·       Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills to manage project finances effectively.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications/Training:

·       BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification (e.g., CIPS).
