Graduate Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

This role and all of our roles outside of Ireland include a full travel package covering flights, accommodation, travel and a daily living allowance reflective of the country you will be based in.

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for construction, eager to start your career in the rapidly growing data centre sector? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sweden. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, cutting-edge data centre projects in Europe, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills with one of the industry’s leading contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing and monitoring project budgets and cost plans.
  • Support in managing contract documents, bills of quantities, and tender analysis.
  • Work closely with the project team to track and report on project costs and variations.
  • Assist with subcontractor valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
  • Provide support for procurement, sourcing mechanical materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work complies with the required standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Attend site meetings and provide accurate cost reporting to senior Quantity Surveyors and the project team.

Key Requirements:

  • Recently graduated in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, etc.) in a construction environment is a plus.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to relocate to Sweden for the duration of the project.
  • A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
