Introduction

A well-established Construction Company in the Built environment is seeking to appoint a Junior Quantity Surveyor.


****Must be currently living in Cape Town!!!


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities and will manage main contractor building contracts directly.

  • Be the custodian of the project budget and manage all costs relating to the specified construction projects.

  • Will be involved in the full lifecycle of the project, preparing estimates and cost reports whilst tracking any variations and movements in turnover / profit.


Desired Experience & Qualification

• BTech in Quantity Surveying (NQF 7) or equivalent.


• At least 1 to 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar Built environment.


• Must be proficient in BuildSmart & Candy (CCS – Construction Computer Software).


• Prepared to travel to project locations.


• Valid Driver’s License and own transport.


Preferred Competencies:


• Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 and BuildSmart.


• Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.


• Good decision making and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables.


• A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.


• Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment.
