Managing Quantity Surveyor (21611)

Murphy
On-site
United Kingdom

Senior / Quantity Surveyor – Cambridge and / or Beaulieu Stations – Location - Sites and Kentish Town (HQ)

Would you like to join one of the UK's Best Big Companies as awarded by Best Companies?

Murphy Technical Services (MTS) is growing, and we are seeking the right calibre of commercial resource to support this.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager leading the portfolio, the right individuals will commercially lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems (MEPH) work packages for Cambridge South or Beaulieu Park Stations.

A solid order book attributed to large opportunities recently awarded to the Group means these two schemes provide an ideal introduction into the business unit and J Murphy & Sons as a whole, with the opportunity to experience all aspects of commercial delivery within a project from start to finish in relatively quick succession.

Working closely with your operational counterparts, you would then look to continue these relationships into delivery of our 2025-2026 (and beyond) workload, with a focus round the southern region and central hub in Kentish Town.

MTS sits within the multidisciplined Specialist Businesses Unit of J Murphy & Sons. MTS consists of Murphy Electrical Services, contracting services across our five sectors of Transportation; Power; Water; Natural Resources; and Construction & Property, and Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house, independent engineering design team that is consulted by Murphy businesses as well as external clients as a centre of expert advice.

The business unit provides ideal opportunities for those wishing to take on more responsibility and operate at a business level rather than simply one project; as a commercial team we are delivery focussed, whilst maintaining the Murphy family feel.
