We are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team looking after all commercial aspects of the quantity surveying department. The successful candidate will be a valuable part of our business, leading the way commercially and having full accountability for their projects including both pre and post-contract commercial functions and contract reporting.

Responsibilities:


  •  Contribute to achieving the optimum commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting.

  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members.

  • Manage subcontract packages, overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consulting along with normal QS duties.

  • Prepare the cost / value reconciliation reports accurately.

  • Managing standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements

  • Supervising and managing the accurate and timely project delivery reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

  • Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedures.

  • Attending meetings with the client, design teams, subcontractors and specialist subcontractors




Qualifications;



  • Quantity Surveying Degree or similar with 5+ years’ post-graduate experience.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Significant experience in main contracting market.

  • Experience managing subcontract accounts.

  • Experience working with PWC form of contract.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret, and present data to facilitate the preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations.

  • Proficient in Excel and Cubit.

  • Methodical, conscientious and organized, works to deliver high standards.
