Our client is seeking a skilled Production Quantity Surveyor to lead the management, implementation, and reporting of the WCGDoI programme, ensuring seamless project delivery and financial precision.

This exciting role involves overseeing contractor and PSP procurement, managing JBCC/NEC contracts, and ensuring timely invoice processing with zero rejections. Ideal candidates will have a Quantity Surveying degree, SACQSP registration, and 3+ years of post-registration experience, with expertise in consulting QS firms or project management being a distinct advantageβ€”join a team where your expertise will drive impactful results!

Duties & Responsibilities

Our client in the Consulting Engineering and ConstructionΒ industry is looking for a Project Coordinator to join their team in Western Cape, Cape Town.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Professional Registration with SACQSP.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience.
  • Experience in professional consulting Quantity Surveying firms.
  • Knowledge of contract administration (JBCC and NEC) and financial administration.
  • Project or programme management experience is advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with programme schedules and cash flow requirements.
  • Preparing and reviewing cash flow forecasts and programme plans.
  • Meeting established deadlines.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date server records.
  • Ensuring all documentation is properly filed.
  • Overseeing the procurement of contractors and Professional Service Providers (PSPs).
  • Managing the appointment and performance of consultants and contractors.
  • Adhering to all organizational processes and protocols.
  • Administering contracts, including JBCC and NEC frameworks.
  • Reviewing and approving contractor payment certificates and invoices.
  • Reviewing and approving PSP fee claims and invoices.
  • Assessing appointments, additional fees, and related matters.
  • Evaluating and endorsing financial aspects of Contract Instructions, Compensation Events, and Extensions of Time across the portfolio.
  • Ensuring successful completion of Auditor General audits.
  • Promptly escalate project-related issues.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all collected, collated, and submitted data.
  • Make operational decisions related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
