Duties & Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the meticulous interpretation of construction drawings to produce accurate quotes and comprehensive budget estimates, ensuring financial viability from inception.
  • Develop and diligently maintain robust rate sheets, providing a critical foundation for accurate costings and tender submissions.
  • Engage in strategic negotiations with suppliers and contractors, securing favourable terms and fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Proactively obtain and critically evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal resource allocation.
  • Champion the effective management of project budgets throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final completion, mitigating financial risks.
  • Oversee and execute procurement processes, including the precise placement of purchase orders and the diligent management of all supplier orders to ensure timely project execution.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Possession of a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Demonstrated experience of 3 years in a Team Leadership capacity.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within the Construction industry.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
