QUANTITY SURVEYOR – PROJECT FIT-OUT

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available with a bespoke commercial project fit-out company based in Sandton. They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their innovative team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, quantity surveying and project costing, while working closely with clients, designers, project managers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse project costs relating to materials, labour and time.
• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare accurate project estimates and cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost variations.
• Understand project sequences, timelines and construction requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers and Contractors.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding project costs and requirements.
• Present cost reports and provide financial insights to clients and project teams.
• Assist with ensuring projects remain within budget and financial targets.

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role.
• Experience within commercial interior design, project fit-out or construction is highly advantageous.
• Strong experience in project costing and Bills of Quantities.
• Previous client-facing experience.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project sequencing.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Own vehicle and valid driver's licence.
