Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide. 

About the Role:

We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As our Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. This will also include procurement, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments and final account settlement.

  • Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages
  • Negotiation and analysis of Sub contractor tender returns
  • Producing tender analysis for subcontract work packages
  • Completion of Subcontract orders and variations
  • Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
  • Completing Monthly CVRs and cost reporting
  • Cost reporting and budget control
  • Attending site project meetings
  • Prepare and issue monthly valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackers

Role Criteria:

  • Qualification in Surveying or Construction or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working within the Construction industry for a social housing contractor
  • Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong mathematical ability
  • Ability to assess and analyse information
  • Good business sense
  • Good understanding of budget management
  • Negotiating and networking skills
  • Enthusiasm and Flexibility
  • Able to work within a busy team and under pressure
  • A methodical approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence
