Lexdan Select is assisting a client in the Civil & Earthworks sector with their search for a Quantity Surveyor, based in JHB.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in civil works and earthmoving projects.
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Proficient in estimating & budgeting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Β
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost estimations for civil works projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate cost-related activities, working closely with project managers and engineers to track expenses and variations.
- Prepare pricing for jobs, and monitor cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and validate costs against budgets.
